Beatrice L. Rowlett, 85

Beatrice L. Rowlett of Okeechobee passed away February 20, 2013 in Okeechobee. She was born October 31, 1927 in Paintsville, Kentucky. She married Forrest Rowlett in 1950 and was a clerk at the Pahokee Army Store for 30 years. She was a member of the North Okeechobee Church of God.

Mrs. Rowlett was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest Rowlett and her son, Kenneth Rowlett.

She is survived by her son, Danny Rowlett of Ocala; two daughters, Sharon Prevatt (Wayne) of Okeechobee and Shirley Newhart (Otto) of Dunnellon, Florida; eight grandchildren; many loving great grandchildren; and three brothers, Walter Long, Donald Long and Ernest Long.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Palm Beach Memorial Park, 3691 Seacrest Boulevard, Lantana, Florida 33462 with Pastor Don Leon officiating.
