Oddlene “Nanny” Timmons, 80

Oddlene “Nanny” Timmons of Okeechobee passed away February 4, 2013 in Okeechobee. She was born January 7, 1933 in Red Bay, Alabama. She came to Okeechobee from Ft. Lauderdale in 1972. She was a member of the Church of God of Okeechobee. She enjoyed reading, quilting, crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Roger Timmons; son, Raymond Timmons; sisters, Betty Herndon and Joan Salter.

She is survived by two sons, Joey Timmons (Shirlene) of Okeechobee and Mike Timmons (Bobbie) of Palm Beach; daughter, Janie Timmons of Okeechobee; sister-in-law, Francis Kemp of Okeechobee; and many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. Friday, February 8, 2013 at Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home with services following at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Pastor Mark Smith will officiate.
